Job summary

Brooks Macdonald Group plc invites applications for aspiring Trainee Financial Planners to support under supervision while developing the skills, qualifications and experience needed to progress into a fully qualified advisory role.

The role offers a pathway to Chartered status through the Brooks Macdonald Academy, with structured study, CPD and rotational exposure across front/back-office functions. Flexible hybrid working is available, with in-office presence three days per week across teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 4 required or actively pursuing it.
• Experience in an IFA practice or similar environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Intelliflo (IO), cash-flow tools (Voyant) and analytics is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Planners with pre-meeting preparation and follow-up actions.
• Support day-to-day private client work and client liaison; handle administrative duties for the Consultant.
• Prepare review packs, valuations and meeting materials; update CRM and fact-finds after meetings.
• Provide administrative support to the Consultant, handling client queries up to but not including advice.
• Attend seminars, client/provider meetings and sales meetings to discuss products and regulatory changes.
