Job summary

Southover Wealth invites you to begin a career as a Trainee Financial Adviser in London. You will work closely with the managing director and current advisers to gain hands-on experience across financial planning, products, and client interaction while pursuing your Level 4 qualification.

After 12–18 months, you may join the St. James’s Place adviser academy and progress to a qualified financial planner. Hybrid working and ongoing mentorship support are provided.

Responsibilities

Job description

We have a great opportunity on offer for someone that is looking to get into the advice industry with our tried and tested pathway to giving advice. As a trainee financial adviser you would be working directly alongside our managing director and your current financial advisers, to gain first‑hand experience, build a fantastic knowledge of products as well as importantly understanding how to advise. You will do this alongside getting your level 4 qualification if you have not passed already.

After 12 - 18 months, if you are ready, you will then be offered to go through the St. James’s Place adviser academy, where you will then be appointed as a qualified financial planner.

Responsibilities

• Joining our advisers on there meetings to gain hands‑on experience
• Supporting with financial planning research
• Building cash flow planning reports
• Pre and Post meeting admin
• Liaising with clients
• Contacting providers
• Assisting with Letter of Authority administration
• Updating clients and prospects with our cashflow planning software
• Producing Illustrations and meeting materials
