Trainee Field Technician

As our company grows, we are expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Trainee Field Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated, and flexible Trainee Field Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. It is key that you can thrive both in a team environment and independently. The role involves determining the physical properties of various materials, including concrete, earthworks, aggregates, and bituminous mixtures, to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with British, European, and American standards, so good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures are required.

The tasks you will undertake include (but are not limited to):

1. Undertaking a wide range of field tests
2. Sampling and testing construction materials

To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:

• A full driving license
• Self-motivated and able to organize your own workload
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work

About Materials Testing

Our Materials Testing Team performs extensive testing and compliance services across various construction projects, including highways, rail, airfields, ports, harbours, power stations, sports stadiums, and new build projects in industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
