Job summary

Astute People are recruiting a Trainee Field Technician to join a specialist engineering and maintenance services provider with UK-wide operations, starting from Guildford. The role offers a starting salary of £28,000 per annum, rising to £29,500 after a 6-month training and probation period, plus allowances, overtime and a discretionary annual bonus (OTE £38k).

You will work as part of a small team delivering boiler cleaning and plant maintenance services across the UK and Ireland, travel

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland, with overnight stays.
• Full UK manual driving licence and ability to drive a company van.
• Willingness to undertake a comprehensive training programme and develop technical skills.
• Health & Safety awareness in an operational environment.
• Enjoys practical, hands-on work in challenging, dirty environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist boiler cleaning and plant maintenance services as part of a small team.
• Assist with safe, timely completion of allocated tasks and quality standards.
• Receive, store, transport and use tools in accordance with procedures.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overnight stays.
• Maintain equipment inventory and assist with yard duties and safety meetings.
