Finlay Jude Associates Limited is recruiting a Trainee Field Technician to join our Southwest region team. The role involves recording acoustic sound data across a water distribution network using digital equipment, working outdoors in urban and suburban environments, and liaising with supervisors to hit performance targets.

This entry-level position offers full training, a full clean UK driving licence, and flexible hours.

We are recruiting for a number of Field Technicians who will be based across the Southwest region. You will be required to assist in leak detection activities. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday with flexible working hours.

The Trainee Field Technician Job requirements:

• Using supplied technology, record acoustic sound files across a water distribution network using digital equipment
• Working independently within urban/suburban environments
• Adhere to performance indicators set out but the client
• Liaising with supervisors
• Work to achieve targets
• This is a manual job which may involve lifting, stretching and bending and experience of driving long hours is beneficial

Trainee Field Technician skill and experience beneficial to this role:

• Used to working outdoors and interacting with members of the public
• Self-motivated individual with an eye for detail and a focus on customer service and teamwork
• A full clean UK driving licence
• Ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Water Hygiene, Street works and Manual handling accreditation – full training will be provided

The successful Field Technician must possess:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A full UK manual Driving Licenceas a vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work purposes
