Job summary

SOCOTEC Field Technician role within our Infrastructure division supports construction materials testing on site and in our laboratory environments. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and able to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Experience with UKAS accredited laboratory practices is advantageous, and a Full UK driving licence is essential. CSCS Card is desirable; SOCOTEC can facilitate obtaining it where needed.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory.

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Field Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Field Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in site and laboratory testing of construction materials, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

• Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
• Completion of test sheets, including all calculations
• Production of reports in line with QA systems

Qualifications

To be a successful Field Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
