Job Details

We are looking for a motivated and technically minded individual to join our Engineering team as a Trainee Field Service Engineer. You will become one of Apogee’s front-line representatives, learning to support and maintain devices across client sites, ensuring we deliver exceptional service every time. You will receive full training and coaching, including a dedicated induction programme in Lincoln (with all travel and accommodation expenses covered), to give you the skills and confidence to succeed. This role will pay minimum wage plus a bonus scheme and a car, with progression in the future. This role is fully remote at client sites; attendance at our offices is required periodically for team meetings and training.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Respond to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment
  • Monitor devices proactively for faults and consumable requirements
  • Diagnose and resolve faults through cleaning, adjustment or part replacement
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and installations
  • Use Apogee and client systems to record activity and report on progress
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to maximise satisfaction
  • Manage onsite stock of spare parts and consumables
  • Provide guidance to customers on how to get the most from their equipment

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break.

Qualifications and Skills
  • IT savvy, with either a technical qualification or some technical experience
  • A confident communicator, professional and courteous with customers
  • A logical problem solver who can follow procedures and think ahead
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated, flexible and eager to learn new skills
