Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual, ideally with an engineering background, for this Trainee Field Engineer role, which involves installing and configuring data equipment on the Wastewater network.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an outstanding company that will provide full training, a vehicle, and the equipment needed for the role. You will become a fully trained Field Engineer and receive training in other specialist areas of the company's business.

Trainee Field Engineer – Benefits
  • A starting salary of £26,000 per annum
  • Salaries increased every 6 months during training, quickly rising to £30,000
  • Salaries continue to rise based on progression and performance
  • A fully expensed company vehicle including a fuel card

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Daily Activities
  • Driving from site to site and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and chamber covers
  • Entering and working within confined spaces
  • Installing and maintaining a variety of mechanical instrumentation
The Candidate
  • Full manual driving license is essential
  • No prior experience necessary; all training will be provided
  • Previous electrical or mechanical experience is an advantage
  • Experience as a field engineer is useful
  • Relevant academic qualifications such as BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical are advantageous
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly during training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers/clients
  • Flexibility to accommodate business needs
