Job summary

Fort Recruitment is seeking a self-motivated Trainee Field Engineer to install and configure data equipment on the wastewater network. This full-time role includes a fully expensed company vehicle, comprehensive training, and progression opportunities.

You will start at £27,000 per annum with increases to £31,000 during training and ongoing increases thereafter. Ideal candidates have an engineering mindset and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence for manual gears is essential.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Electrical or mechanical experience is advantageous.
• Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., BTEC) may be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Driving from site to site and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lifting, carrying and moving equipment and chamber covers.
• Installing and maintaining mechanical instrumentation.

Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual, ideally with an engineering background, for this Trainee Field Engineer role which involves installing & configuring data equipment on the Wastewater network. This is a full-time permanent position working for an outstanding Company who will provide full training, a vehicle and the equipment needed for the role. You will become a fully trained Field Engineer and also receive training in other specialist areas of the firm s business.

• Salaries are then increased every 6 months during training quickly rising to £31,000pa

• Driving from site to site and working outside in all weather conditions

• Installing and maintaining a variety of mechanical instrumentation

• Full driving licence for manual gears is essential

• Previous electrical or mechanical experience of any nature an advantage
• Previous as a field engineer is usefulRelevant academic qualifications an advantage e.g. BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical
• You must have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly during training
• You will be interacting with customers/clients on a daily basis so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
