Job summary

Fort Recruitment is hiring a Trainee Field Engineer to install and configure sensors and monitoring equipment on the Wastewater network. The role offers full training, a company vehicle with fuel card, and a structured salary progression during the training period.

Initial salary is £28,700 per annum with progression to £34,100 as training progresses; ongoing increases are based on performance. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with full benefits including a pension and equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence for manual gears.
• No prior experience required; training provided for the role.
• Previous electrical or mechanical experience is an advantage.
• Relevant academic qualifications such as BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive between sites and work outside in all weather conditions.
• Lift, carry and move equipment and chamber covers.
• Enter into and work within confined spaces.
• Install and maintain a variety of sensors and instrumentation.

Job description

We are seeking a self-motivated individual, ideally with an engineering background, for this Trainee Field Engineer role which involves installing & configuring sensors and monitoring equipment on the Wastewater network.

This is a full-time permanent position working for an outstanding Company who will provide full training, a vehicle and the equipment needed for the role. You will become a fully trained Field Engineer and also receive training in other specialist areas of the firm’s business.

Trainee Field Engineer – Benefits

• A starting salary of £28,700pa (consisting of salary and area weighting)
• Salaries are then increased every 6 months during training quickly rising to £34,100pa
• Salaries will then continue to rise based on progression and performance
