Main Responsibilities of a Trainee Estimator – Colney Heath Steels
  • Assist in the preparation of quotations and estimates for steelwork and building materials, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at every stage.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop cost estimates under supervision.
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, discussing solutions and providing information on products and pricing.
  • Support the management of incoming enquiries, maintaining careful records and updating relevant databases.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and operations teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of steel products, construction materials, and industry trends through training and on-the-job experience.
  • Uphold all Health & Safety requirements in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
