Job Description:

We are working with one of the top bulge bracket investment banks, who are looking to add a trainee equity research associate to their London team.

The firm has an outstanding reputation for providing their asset management clients with exceptional equity research.

The role involves supporting senior coverage analysts with writing equity research and presenting ideas to clients, primarily asset managers and hedge funds.

The sector focus will be on non-financials, offering a diverse experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Writing equity research reports on companies
  • Analyzing company results, including post-results comments and discussions with the sales desk
  • Engaging with company management to stay updated on developments
  • Assisting with client requests and ad-hoc tasks
  • Participating in client and company meetings
  • Financial modeling, valuations, and analysis

Candidate background:

  • Equity analysts from sell-side or buy-side firms or other research professionals
  • Investment banking analysts
  • Strong academic background
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and the global economy
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills to articulate and sell ideas
  • Demonstrated drive and commitment to a career in equity research
