Job Title: Core Engineer

Job Summary:

We have exciting opportunities to join our Academy as a Core Engineer. The Airedale Academy is set to deliver specialist training programmes to ensure future Engineers of the business are equipped with the best skills to build their career with The Airedale Group. You will be provided fully comprehensive training in the repair and maintenance of high-end commercial catering equipment, whilst working to customer service agreements. Delivering a quick turnaround service to customers in the food service industry.

Once qualified, you will carry out the role of a Catering Engineer independently. You will have the opportunity to further progress your career with a rapidly growing business. This is a field-based role and therefore will be required to drive to multiple customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend training sessions as required to build your industry knowledge in various cookline equipment.
  • Take part in workshops to develop hands on experience in fault finding, repair work and general maintenance.
  • Travel to customer sites to observe Engineers and gain hands on experience.
  • Support Engineers on site from administrative duties to assisting with general maintenance.
  • Develop the practical skills to service and maintain commercial catering equipment.
  • Learn engineering best practices, procedures and tools that maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Adopt a professional manner in your work and how you operate when visiting customer sites.
  • Develop high standards of working practices and a flexible approach with the ability to work on own initiative.

  • A confident communicator.
  • Must be organised, work methodically and be able to multi-task.
  • Possess a can do attitude.
  • Friendly, calm and patient with a helpful nature.
  • Comfortable working with customers and being client facing.
