Trainee Engineer
Within 5 miles of FY1 5QQ – with national travel

  • Full time, permanent (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm)
  • £30,000 OTE (with overtime)

The Role

This is the perfect opportunity for someone with basic IT knowledge and hands-on skills who’s eager to learn and develop a career in engineering. You’ll work closely with a Senior Engineer who will mentor you through all aspects of installation and service work, no two days will be the same!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Lead Engineer with installations and service work as directed by the Project Manager
  • Learn and develop skills to eventually manage tasks independently
  • Use IT knowledge to support installations and service calls
  • Maintain awareness of health & safety standards at all times
  • Accurately complete documentation and job records

Benefits

  • £30,000 On Target Earnings (including overtime)
  • Overtime pay: Time and a half (Saturdays) & double time (Sundays)

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone with a hands-on approach, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude. No previous engineering experience is required, just the right mindset and enthusiasm to grow in the role. About you:

  • Some IT knowledge and confidence using tech
  • Enthusiasm to learn and take on new challenges daily
  • Good practical skills and ability to use basic hand tools
  • Full UK driving licence (held for at least 1 year)
  • Awareness of Health & Safety (full training provided)
  • Comfortable with working at heights (full training provided)
