Job Title: Energy Advice Advisor
Salary: £25,750 rising to £26,739 after 6 months
Job Type: Permanent / Full-time
About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to provide energy advice to householders via telephone and email, helping them access appropriate support. You will also maintain accurate records of all interactions with clients.
Responsibilities
- Handle calls on the advice line and other projects, assisting individuals with energy-related issues.
- Record client details and assess their needs using your knowledge.
- Refer clients to local support organisations as needed.
- Identify potential energy improvements in clients' properties and refer installers for fitting.
- Assist vulnerable clients with grant applications and energy tariff switches.
- Respond empathetically to callers, including those in distress.
- Follow advice line protocols, processes, and procedures.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Experience in giving advice, customer service, or helping others.
- Respectful and engaging communication skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively and identify team skills.
- Ability to manage admin systems independently and accurately.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
