Job description

Holt Engineering is working with a technical and innovative Electronics manufacturer based in Fareham.

Position: Trainee Electronic Tester

We are seeking a keen and technically-minded Trainee Electronic Tester to join our quality assurance team.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and document faults, failures, and non-conformities.
  2. Use DVMs (Digital Voltmeters) and Power Supplies for testing.
  3. Interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
  4. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
  5. Maintain accurate records of test results and issues.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in PCB testing or related electronics testing.
  2. Experience working with PCBs in assembly.
  3. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documents.
  4. Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong communication and reporting skills.

Working Hours and Benefits:

  • Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, with early finish on Fridays at 12:30 pm.
  • Temporary to Permanent contract.
  • Pay rate from £12.75 per hour.
