Assembly Operative

Greenwich, SE10

Ongoing Contract

£9.00 - £15.00 ph

MON – FRI Training 42.5 hours

Weekend shift once trained (FRI – SUN) 33 hours

Days and nights

06:00 – 17:15

18:00 – 05:15

Working in a busy manufacturing & production area for a large engineering company. These roles offer an opportunity to join a world-renowned company, who are specialists in their field, where full training and support will be provided.

Working within a team of Technical Assembly Operators, Support Engineers & Team Leaders, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate building, testing, and inspection of all built articles. You will be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality products for our external customers.

MAIN DUTIES
  1. Undertake assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
  2. Liaising with other departments and Supervisors to ensure the timely build and transfer of your product.
  3. Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub-assembly, and wiring of all connections.
  4. Building, assembling, and installation of modules that make up the suites.
  5. Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
  6. Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
  7. Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools.
  8. Component & D-type connector soldering.
  9. Electrical/Prototype Wiring.
  10. Fabrication.
  11. Electronics assembly Inspection.
  12. PCB Building.
  13. Wiring the suites for test.
  14. Provide a professional, courteous, and efficient service to our internal customers.
  15. Work with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times.

Candidates must be able to get to site for 06:00 and work on a 2-week rotation of night work.
