Job description

Fantastic opportunity for a trainee level candidate looking to develop a career in an electrical, service engineer role. The Trainee Electrical Service Engineer will join our established electrical manufacturing client in a role that combines office and site work, with hands-on responsibilities. Electrical qualifications will be funded by the client in the future, offering excellent career prospects. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.

Flexibility for overnight stays is required, and the ideal candidate will reside in Essex.

All site visits will be accompanied by an experienced Engineer. While initially not required to drive the company vehicle, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence. Good computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in troubleshooting end-user technical product issues.
  • Receive training to provide remote monitoring and solutions over the phone.
  • Support site visits to customer homes and commercial sites.
  • Learn to diagnose, test, and repair product issues remotely and on-site.
  • Provide technical product training internally and externally once trained.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to order parts for servicing, repairs, and maintenance.
