Your Training Plan

Building Services Engineering Senior Technician Level 4 (Higher National Certificate) at Leeds College of Building

  • Block release learning (1 week every 5 weeks)
  • Regular progress reviews to monitor and support your development

What you'll be doing

As a Trainee Electrical Engineer, you'll be involved in activities such as:

  • Planning and managing project workload, assigning tasks in line with project leadership
  • Preparing operational project programmes and procurement schedules
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Creating and managing subcontract packages and procurement responses
  • Attending meetings and liaising with subcontractors and project surveyors
  • Reviewing designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance
  • Practicing health and safety standards
  • Interpreting technical specifications and standards
