Job summary

Brakes is the UK’s leading foodservice supplier. Based at Park Royal, Premier Park Depot, we’re hiring a Trainee Driver who will start as a Van Driver delivering to multiple locations, with route variety and a busy start to your day.

You’ll begin with induction and move through our HGV Development Programme to gain Class 2 qualification within 6 months; after licencing, salary increases. The role is 45 hours a week with shift times discussed at interview; full benefits include pension, holiday

Qualifications

• Qualified Driver with a full clean driving licence and van/multi-drop experience preferred.
• Willingness to progress through the HGV Development Programme.
• Ability to follow processes, meet DVSA compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and non-food to multiple locations throughout the day.
• Carry out regular checks on a multi-temperature van and maintain DVSA compliance.
• Participate in the HGV Development Programme to gain Class 2 qualification within 6 months.

Tuesday to Saturday, 06:00 start times (45 hours a week)

A satisfying role

You’ll join us initially as a Van Driver – as the face of our business, delivering both food and non-food products to multiple locations throughout the day. Your route might not be the same from one day to the next, but we can guarantee you'll meet a variety of customers along the way.

You will also be responsible forregular checks on your multi-temperature van and DVSA compliance. Your journey with us willstartwith a full induction and before you know it, you will have moved onto our award-winning HGV Development Programme which will see you gain your Class 2 Driver qualification within 6 months, then the sky's the limit. You will be working a 45 hour week,we can discuss the shift days and times with you at interview.Upon gaining your HGV2 licence your salary will increase.
