Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Trainee Domiciliary Optical Assistant to visit patients at home, delivering essential eye care and assistance in daily tasks. You’ll join a supportive team and travel across the South & South West London region from Cobham.

You will receive training, a car allowance or a company car, and a layout that respects work-life balance with core hours 9am–6pm Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in domiciliary care or healthcare preferred.
• Must have a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver domiciliary eye care at clients' homes.
• Support patients with basic tasks and guidance.
• Work within 9am–6pm, Monday to Friday.

Role: Trainee Domiciliary Optical Assistant

Are you ready for a new challenge as a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, we can help you achieve new career goals.

You’ll be driving our optical services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community. Ideally you will be located in the RH or GU post code areas.

Our business

Based from the office in Cobham, you’ll cover the South & South West London region providing care to vulnerable patients.

We have a wonderful existing team of dedicated people from optical and administrative backgrounds, who ready and waiting for you to meet.

Our cars

You’ll be provided with a a car allowance of £3,000 per annum or a fully expensed company car.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a home visits optical assistant.These include:

• Previous domiciliary care or healthcare or similar experience is preferred
• Must have a full UK driving license
