Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Trainee Domiciliary Optical Assistant to deliver eye care to patients in their homes across the region. You’ll travel to doorstep visits, assist with basic tasks, and bring clinical care to your community.

Based from Cobham, you’ll cover South & South West London, with a car allowance or fully expensed company car. Working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am–6pm, with some flexibility. Training and Specsavers Perks are included.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Previous domiciliary care or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients in their homes to provide eye care and support basic tasks.
• Provide compassionate, patient-facing assistance during home visits.

Role: Trainee Domiciliary Optical Assistant

Are you ready for a new challenge as a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, we can help you achieve new career goals.

You’ll be driving our optical services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community. Ideally you will be located in the RH or GU post code areas.

Our business

Based from the office in Cobham, you’ll cover the South & South West London region providing care to vulnerable patients.

We have a wonderful existing team of dedicated people from optical and administrative backgrounds, who ready and waiting for you to meet.

Our cars

You’ll be provided with a a car allowance of £3,000 per annum or a fully expensed company car.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a home visits optical assistant.These include:

• Previous domiciliary care or healthcare or similar experience is preferred
• Must have a full UK driving license
