An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Domestic Abuse Worker to work within the Harrow DASS team supporting the delivery of the Harrow Refuge and assisting local victims/survivors, ensuring high quality and safe practice.
The successful candidate will embody the Cranstoun values and promote a culture of fairness, collaboration, and trust within the organization.
As a Trainee Domestic Abuse Worker, you should have a strong commitment to supporting victims/survivors of domestic abuse, along with compassion, attention to detail, teamwork skills, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
This role is supported employment; you will undertake training while working towards the Level 4 Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker Apprenticeship. Dedicated study time will be allocated for this qualification. It is expected that within 3 months, you will be able to handle a reduced caseload after completing core induction training.
The trainee position is expected to last around 21 months, depending on qualification completion. Trainees who successfully complete the qualification and induction will be invited to apply for permanent Domestic Abuse Worker roles as they become available.
All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and meeting eligibility requirements for the apprenticeship.
