Assistant Stylist – Burgess Hill

Who are we?

We’re Pets at Home – if you love pets, you might already know about our Pet Care Centres, which include Pets Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices across the UK.

What’s the role?

Our Assistant Stylists are vital to our Pets Grooming salons' success. You will deliver top-quality pet care while demonstrating a basic understanding of dog grooming techniques, including handling, equipment use, and pre-grooming prep.

We provide training, skills, and knowledge to help you deliver excellent service, reflecting our goal to be the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World.' You will enjoy a competitive base salary, with opportunities to earn the Real Living Wage or more through our Earn As You Learn programs, and additional pay through extra training.

Who are we looking for?

• People passionate about delivering excellent service.
• Flexible individuals able to work a flexible shift pattern across 6 days a week, as we are closed on Sundays. The minimum contract is 39 hours, but additional hours may be required during busy periods, absences, or holidays.
• Experience working with or handling dogs in a professional grooming or pet care environment is desirable but not essential (note: bathing and prepping your own dog does not qualify as professional experience).
• Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Experience in a target-driven environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
