Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Band 6 Trainee District Nurse role within Community Nursing. This exciting programme funds your Specialist Practitioner course while you develop clinical and leadership skills in a busy community setting.

The post involves leading a defined community caseload, mentoring learners and working across 7 days with flexible hours. A UK driving licence is essential, and the role is anchored in Solihull area with university pathway

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
Willing to undertake post graduate academic study and evidence university requirement at Level 6/7 study.
Evidence of postgraduate diploma level training or equivalent experience in a community field.
Experience as Band 5 Community Nurse and short courses enabling autonomous community nursing provision.

Responsibilities

Manage a defined community caseload with complex needs and provide evidence-based care.
Deliver specialist advice and leadership while supervising junior staff and students.
Support development of policy and contribute to service change and improvement.
