North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a 12-month fixed-term Trainee Assistant Technical Officer - Dispensary at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. The role involves supporting the pharmacy team with dispensing stock, delivering medicines on site, and assisting with stock control across wards.

The post requires NVQ qualifications, strong IT skills, and good communication. Working hours are 37.5 per week, Mon–Fri 08:30–16:30, with additional on-call and weekend rota

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent or willing to work towards.
• NVQ3 units in receipt and assembly of prescriptions.
• Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
• Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supplying stock medicines to wards and departments across the trust.
• Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Providing a delivery service of medicines to wards on site.
• Participating in stock control maintenance.
• Assisting in maintaining stock levels of medicines on wards by topping up.
