Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking a Trainee Digital Print/Silk Screen Printer for a client in Loughborough. Full training will be provided in both Digital Print and Screen Printing, with guidance from experienced printers to cover all aspects of both processes.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering pay of £12.71 to £12.85 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. A long-term opportunity to build a career in the POS manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong interest in screen printing or manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong IT skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to detail.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Learning how to prepare screens, including coating, exposing, and washing.
• Assisting with the setup and operation of manual and semi-automatic screen printing machinery.
• Learning to print using UV and solvent inks.
• Printing on substrates such as Acrylic, PETG, Styrene, and coated metal.
• Supporting ink mixing and colour matching using Pantone references.
• Learning to read pre-press artwork and technical drawings.
• Assisting in maintaining quality standards and production targets.
• Supporting the team with general production and housekeeping duties.
