Job summary

The Delta Group in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a trainee to learn how to accurately produce print work in line with job specifications. Full training will be provided.

This entry-level role runs Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour flexi shift and a supportive team environment. You will collect and process work from the repro/print department, ensure correct sizing, QC against requirements, and assist with routine maintenance while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Entry-level trainee role requiring basic computer literacy and accuracy.
• Must be able to follow job specifications and quality checks.
• Be over 18 and able to work Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process work from repro/print department
• Ensure correct sizing and apply correction curve
• Perform QC to meet job requirements
• Follow production schedule and maintain workflow
• Notify supervisor of major issues
• Assist with routine machine maintenance as directed
• Keep area and equipment clean and tidy
• Select media profile and prepare files for printing

Primary Objectives

• Collect and process work sent down from the repro/print department
• Ensure that the work is sized correctly, and the appropriate correction curve is applied
• QC to job requirements
• Maintain and process work according to the production schedule
• Notify the supervisor/manager when a major issue is encountered
• Learn to problem solve minor issues, to ensure that the work flows smoothly through the department
• Learn to maintain the machinery to manufacturers recommendations
• Keep work area and machinery clean and tidy
• Learn to select the correct media profile then rip the job to be printed
