Newsrooms are busy and pressurised environments, involving live news production, which often requires quick decisions under pressure. We test these abilities at the interview stage to understand how candidates will react in a newsroom environment. We will consider reasonable adjustments as part of the interview process, including sharing key themes on request in relation to neurodivergent conditions, while still testing the ability to operate in a newsroom setting. We value authenticity and expect applicants to showcase their own thoughts and experiences. Applications that appear copied from AI-generated content may be rejected.
