Trainee Design Engineer

Location: Shrewsbury

Duration: Permanent

Hours: 9 am - 5 pm, Monday – Friday (onsite)

Package: £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience level

25 days annual leave + stats

Due to growth, our well-established client is looking to recruit a Junior Designer into their thriving business. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in a modern, forward-thinking, and reputable company in their field.

Responsibilities:

• Working with other designers to produce bespoke designs for products
• Assisting in developing 3D models during the early design stages
• Gathering information from customers and suppliers via phone
• Using SolidWorks software to prepare manufacturing drawings
• Rendering designs
• Supporting the team in developing new and existing products

Candidate Requirements:

• Some experience in a design role, with customer contact and CAD modelling skills (ideally SolidWorks)
• Looking to progress their design career, whether a recent graduate or with some on-the-job experience in product or structural design
• Passionate about product development, able to contribute to concept development, and a motivated team player
• Own transport and a UK driving licence (essential)
