Job summary

NLDC LTD in High Wycombe is seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse to join a modern dental practice. You will gain hands-on experience in NHS and private dentistry while developing core nursing skills and working toward qualification.

The role offers full-time, permanent work with a Monday–Friday schedule and a supportive clinical team. Training, mentorship and opportunities for career development are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled on, or prepared to enrol on, an approved Dental Nursing qualification.
• Friendly and confident communicating with patients.
• Professional, reliable and well organised.
• Keen to learn and develop clinical skills.
• Able to work as part of a busy dental team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing dental surgeries, instruments, materials and equipment for treatments
• Assisting clinicians throughout patient appointments and procedures
• Cleaning, decontaminating and sterilising dental instruments
• Following infection prevention, cross contamination and health and safety procedures
• Supporting the turnaround and preparation of surgeries between patients
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable and reassured
• Supporting accurate and organised patient and clinical information
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout clinical areas
• Working closely with dentists, dental nurses and the wider practice team
• Developing knowledge of dental instruments, materials, terminology and clinical procedures
