Trainee Dental Nurse

Location: Golders Green, NW11
Salary: £15 per hour (Overtime rates vary)
Opening Times: 24 hours

Your Role

As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in assisting our skilled dentists, hygienists, and therapists in delivering high-quality care. You will:

  • Work in a fast-paced and rewarding clinical environment.
  • Follow the British Association of Dental Nurses’ Code of Ethics and the GDC’s Scope of Practice.
  • Build strong, professional relationships within the dental team.
  • Ensure high standards of infection control and patient safety.
  • Liaise with the practice manager regarding administration, pay, and service conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a clean, well-equipped clinical environment.
  • Carry out infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Record dental charting and oral tissue assessments accurately.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date patient records securely.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for dental radiography and process radiographs.
  • Support and reassure patients during their treatment.
  • Provide oral health advice to patients.
  • Assist in emergency situations to ensure patient safety and care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Right to work in the UK (Valid visa & National Insurance number).
  • At least the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.
  • Proof of enrolment in an approved dental nursing course.
  • Strong organisation, focus, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • High infection control standards.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
