Job Description

Job Opportunity: Full-Time Trainee Dental Nurse/Dental Nurse


Location: Peterborough (PE3)

Salary: from £12.50 - £14.50 per hour (To Be Negotiated)

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the surgery: Ensuring the surgery is ready for use, including setting up the treatment room and making sure all necessary supplies are available.
  • Sterilizing instruments: Decontaminating instruments using a multi-stage process that may involve scrubbing, soaking, and autoclaving.
  • Assisting the dentist: Providing support during procedures, such as passing instruments, removing saliva, and ensuring proper suction.
  • Maintaining patient records: Taking notes during consultations and treatments, and collecting and maintaining dental and medical histories.
  • Educating patients: Providing oral health education and answering questions.
  • Maintaining a sterile environment: Ensuring the surgery is kept clean and tidy, and that health and safety policies are followed.
  • Managing supplies: Ordering dental supplies and managing stock.
  • Managing PPE: Ensuring that all patient-facing staff have the necessary supplies, such as masks, gloves, and gowns.
