Job summary

NHS Grampian Dental Services in partnership with Aberdeen Dental Hospital are looking to recruit for the post of Trainee Dental Nurse. This 18-month fixed term training contract will equip you with the SVQ and PDA Dental Nursing qualifications and provide hands-on experience in busy clinical environments.

As a trainee, you will work alongside dentists, hygienists and students, with a theory-based training programme and a commitment to study. Interviews on 4-5 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Entry requires a minimum of 3 National Grade level or equivalent qualifications, including English and a Science.
• Gaining SVQ and PDA Dental Nursing qualifications and entering the General Dental Council register are part of the programme.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside dentists, hygienists, therapists and dental students in busy clinical environments.
• Participate in a theory-based training programme and develop practical dental nursing skills.
