Job summary

PortmanDentex is seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse for Acomb Dental & Implant Clinic in York. The role offers full-time hours (38.5 per week) with shifts across Monday to Friday and a starting rate of £12.71 per hour for an apprenticeship funded by PortmanDentex.

You will train under an experienced team, with course oversight by an external provider and full funding support. The clinic specializes in general, cosmetic and orthodontic treatments in a multi-surgery private practice.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above are essential to undertake the course.
• Enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
• Happy to be a key player in the team providing chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
• Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side assistance and ensure materials and equipment are available for each clinical session.
• Support dentists, hygienists or therapists during procedures.
• Provide high standards of patient care within a private dental practice.

• Full-time hours,38.5 hours per week
• Typical shifts: Monday 08.45-17.15, Tuesday 08.45-16.15, Wednesday 08.45-17.15, Thursday 07.45-17.15, Friday 07.45-17.15
• Rate of pay £12.71 per hour (apprentice min wage)
• Training supported by our highly experienced team -your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by PortmanDentex

Acomb Dental and Implant Clinic is a 4 surgery, private dental practice in York. The team provide general dentistry treatments, alongside a variety of cosmetic dental treatments such as teeth whitening, implants and veneers. In addition, they also offer modern orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign braces.
