Job description

We have an opportunity for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our Courtyard Dental practice in Saffron Walden.

No previous dental experience is needed for this role. If you have a genuine interest in health and well-being, are passionate about delivering great service, and are looking for a career where you can learn, grow, and develop, then this could be a perfect fit for you.

Full-time hours

Monday-Thursday 8am-5:15pm, 1 hour lunch (1pm-2pm), Friday 8am-4:45pm, 30min lunch (1:30-2pm). Occasional Saturdays.

Flexibility to work Saturday mornings once a month, as well as occasional Wednesday evenings.

Training supported by our highly experienced team — your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by PortmanDentex.

About you

We welcome your application if you have the following skills and qualifications:

• Maths & English GCSE grade A-C/4-9 or Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 2 (recommended)
• Enjoy working as part of a team and are a good communicator who thrives on delivering excellent patient care
• Happy to be a key team player providing chair-side assistance, ensuring materials and equipment are available during clinical sessions
• Comfortable learning to perform high-quality dental nursing while assisting dentists, hygienists, or therapists in all procedures
