About the role and practice

We have an opportunity for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons practice inSheffield.

No previous dental experience is needed for this role. If you have a genuine interest in health and well-being, are passionate about delivering great service, and looking for a career where you can learn, grow and develop, then this could be a perfect fit for you.

• Full-time hours 39.5 hours per week
• Training supported by our highly experienced team -your course will be overseen by an external course provider and is fully funded by PortmanDentex

Flint and Flint Dental Surgeonsis a practice with afamily history in dentistry for over 130 years. The dental practice is uniqueand can only be rivalled by a select few practices in the UK in that we have our own, fully staffed and equipped state of the art dental laboratory on site.We have a team ofhighly qualified dentistsand experienced technicians, including renowned ceramist and implant technicians, as well as an extremely experienced denture technician on-site which means all dental work can be carried in a much more efficient and effective manner.

About you

• We recommend that you hold Maths & English GCSE grade A-C/4-9 or Key Skills/Functional Skills Level 2
• Enjoy working as part of a team, and are a good communicator who thrives upon delivering excellent standards of patient care
• Happy to be a key player in the team providing chair-side assistance, ensuring that the correct materials and equipment are available during each clinical session
• Comfortable learning to perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist, hygienist or therapist in all procedures
