Job Title: Trainee Dental Nurse

Location: Alford, Aberdeenshire, AB33 8DW

Salary: 13.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Job Type: Two full-time positions available - Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:00, with occasional Saturdays

As we prepare to open our fifth surgery this summer, we are excited to welcome two new Trainee Dental Nurses to our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch a career in dental nursing with excellent hands-on training and professional development.

About the Role:

This position is ideal for motivated individuals ready to begin or continue their dental nursing training. You will work alongside experienced clinicians, gaining practical knowledge across a range of treatments from general care to cosmetic, orthodontic, and implant procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinicians during a range of procedures, including cosmetic, orthodontic, implant and sedation treatments
  • Prepare, sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment
  • Ensure clinical areas are kept clean and compliant with infection control protocols
  • Support patients with care, reassurance and clear communication throughout their visits
  • Maintain accurate digital records using the practice's IT systems

What We're Looking For:

  • A friendly, positive communicator with a caring attitude
  • Motivated and detail-oriented, with a willingness to learn
  • Proof of enrolment on a GDC-approved dental nursing course
  • Right to work in the UK (valid visa and National Insurance number)
  • At least the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine
  • Comfortable using digital tools and practice software
  • Strong awareness of hygiene and professional standards
