Job Title: Trainee Dental Nurse - 2 positions

Location: Richmond, TW10

Salary: GBP13.00 - GBP13.50 per hour

Opening Hours:

  1. Monday & Thursday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Lunch: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)
  2. Tuesday & Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Lunch: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)
  3. Wednesday: 9:00 am - 7:00 pm (Lunch: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
  4. Saturday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm)

Job Description:

We are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated Trainee Dental Nurses to join our friendly team on a full time and part time basis. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dental professionals during procedures, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure our patients receive outstanding care. You will also assist with administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for those either beginning their dental career or gaining practical experience while pursuing a dental nursing qualification. You will be part of a collaborative team, developing your skills in a supportive and hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Support: Provide excellent care and reassurance to patients, answering any questions and ensuring their comfort during visits.
  2. Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during treatments, ensuring the necessary tools and instruments are prepared, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
  3. Sterilisation of Instruments: Ensure that dental instruments and equipment are sterilised and organised in compliance with strict infection control standards.
  4. Administrative Assistance: Support the management of patient records, appointment scheduling, and other administrative duties to ensure efficient practice operations.
  5. Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain stock levels of dental supplies and materials, ensuring timely replenishment.
  6. Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dental procedures, including taking medical histories and providing relevant treatment information.
  7. X-ray Support: Assist in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to all safety protocols.
  8. Treatment Planning Assistance: Help organise patient files and materials required for specific treatments.
  9. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the practice adheres to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills and Requirements:

  1. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

  5. Right to work in the UK and proof of Hepatitis B vaccination (or first dose)
