Job summary

Diamond Dental, part of the Clyde Munro Dental Group in Glasgow, is seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join the team on a full-time basis. You will support chairside activities, assist clinicians, and help deliver excellent patient care in a welcoming environment.

You will learn and develop essential skills, work within a friendly team, and contribute to efficient clinic operations while adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Interested in starting a career in the dental industry.
• Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support in daily practice operations.
• Assist clinicians to deliver high-quality patient care in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the practice management system.
• Assist with lab work and ensure necessary equipment and stock are available.
• Undertake reception duties when required, including handling calls and appointments.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team at Diamond Dental!

Diamond Dental Practice has been looking after patients in Glasgow for more than 25 years. Our experienced dentists and dental hygienists provide private and NHS dental treatment of the highest standard. We offer all basic and emergency treatments as well as crowns, porcelain veneers, bridges and dentures, and other dental cosmetic work.

The practice itself is located right beside the Glasgow Fort and has great transport links making it easily accessible.

Your Role

You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.

Other duties include –

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each session throughout the day to maximise the efficiency of the practice and surgery utilisation
• Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
• Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
• Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
