Job Title: Trainee Cover Supervisor
Location: Thurrock
Salary: GBP90 - GBP100 per day, Term time only (8.30am-3.30pm)

Start Date: Summer Term 2025

The School and Role

Do you have experience working in a school setting as a Trainee Cover Supervisor? Are you seeking paid secondary school experience in the Thurrock area?

Our partnering Secondary schools in Thurrock are seeking confident individuals who are passionate about education to work as Trainee Cover Supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule, either full-time or part-time.

The lesson will always be planned, and this will be provided in advance. It is your role as the Trainee Cover Supervisor to facilitate the class's learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers, and provide a handover to the absent teacher. Successful Trainee Cover Supervisors are adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, and organised; they have a passion for education and supporting young people.

This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience working within a Secondary school prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a Secondary School is desirable, it is not essential.

The desired Trainee Cover Supervisor will have:
