Overview

Cover Supervisors / Future Cover Supervisors for secondary schools in Bristol, starting from October 2025 on short or long-term placements, through Tradewind Recruitment.

Tradewind provide a free Cover Supervisor course plus 2,500 CPD courses to help you upskill and continuously improve your abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive learning environment
• Engage with students and facilitate productive class sessions
• Control classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy
• Present a lesson with the resources provided (you don\'t actually need to know the subject)

Pay and Hours

Competitive pay ranging from £120 - £140 per day PAYE, Monday to Friday, with flexible days to accommodate your availability. Whether you can commit to a full week or just a few days, we\'ll work with your schedule.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people aged 11-16 (preferred)
• A Levels in relevant subjects
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references
• Legal right to work in the UK
• No prior teaching experience is necessary, but enthusiasm, communication skills, and a minimum of A Levels (preferably in English, Maths, Science, Business, Drama, Psychology, Humanities, or Sports) are desired.
