Trainee Costing & Estimating Assistant – Bury St Edmunds

Full-Time | Office-Based | Starting on National Minimum Wage (Reviewed with Progression)

Monday to Friday | 37.5 Hours per Week

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to key business operations, including:

  • Job Costing – Analysing order performance and profitability
  • Estimating – Preparing quotes based on sales team requests
  • Purchasing – Ordering materials, building supplier relationships, and coordinating with production
  • Admin Support – General administrative duties such as filing
  • Reporting – Assisting in job performance reports for directors
What We're Looking For
  • Strong numerical and planning skills
  • Solid MS Office knowledge, especially Excel
  • Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Enthusiasm to learn, grow, and take ownership of your development
