Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Antrim is seeking a Trainee Controls Engineer to join a dedicated team delivering bespoke machinery. This role provides a entry path into controls/software engineering within a fast-paced environment, with exposure to real project work and hands-on learning.

You will learn Rockwell and Siemens platforms, contribute to machine software and electrical design, and support on-site commissioning while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• HNC or degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with automation and production machinery preferred, hands-on.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Assist Controls Engineers in developing machine software for bespoke machinery.
• Support delivery of control and safety systems to standards.
• Assist in design of electrical/software elements and project documentation.
• Support purchasing and scheduling to meet lead times and budgets.
