Trainee Contracts Manager - Derby

Calling all school, college, and university leavers interested in a career within construction management!

Position: Trainee Contracts Manager

An unmissable opportunity to become a trainee contract manager with one of the leading construction companies in Derby, established for over 50 years. A family-run business undertaking construction projects up to £8M for clients in retail, commercial, educational, and healthcare industries.

They are looking for a school or college leaver who will benefit from a fully funded university degree in Construction Management from Nottingham Trent University.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting the Contracts Managers on various projects.
  2. Monitoring project Health and Safety information.
  3. Programming of works.
  4. Scheduling and ordering of plant and materials.
  5. Producing Pre-Construction Health and Safety plans.
  6. Collecting O&M information and forming the project file.

Full training will be provided, but a positive ‘can-do’ approach is essential.

The position initially involves a 39.5-hour workweek (8am-5pm), with a competitive starting salary reviewed after the first year. The company will fully support university tuition fees if applicable.
