About the Role

As a Compliance Trainee within the Business Management (BMO) team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of UK Wholesale Banking Compliance to maintain robust governance, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the business. You will gain hands-on experience in:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the UK Wholesale Banking Compliance governance framework.
  • Supporting compliance risk prevention and control activities.
  • Assisting with financial control, budget management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinating risk and control self-assessments and transversal projects.
  • Facilitating communication and operational support within the Compliance function.

What You Will Do
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of compliance governance tools and processes.
  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting of compliance incidents, breaches, and conduct risks.
  • Help manage budgets, financial reporting, and operational risk assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and contribute to a culture of compliance awareness.
  • Provide vital operational support including access controls, technology facilitation, and business continuity coordination.
