Overview

Trainee Commercial Broker / DA Underwriter - Leeds City Centre

Opportunity to join a successful Leeds City Centre based commercial insurance brokerage. This role is slightly different in that you will not only be providing broking support to the Account Executives; you will also be working with numerous schemes with delegated underwriting authority on various lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Provide broking support to Account Executives.
• Work with schemes with delegated underwriting authority on various lines of business.
• Support the team as a trainee in both broking and underwriting activities, with training provided.

Requirements / Qualifications

• At least 12 months insurance experience, ideally in commercial insurance.
• Applications from those with private client insurance experience considered, with a view to moving into a commercial insurance role.
• Willingness to undertake full technical broking and underwriting training, including system training (Acturis).

Training and Work Arrangement

• Full training will be provided, including technical broking, underwriting, and system training.
• Role involves a part office, part home basis; initially more time in the office during training.
• Once up to speed, option to work 2 days per week from home if preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Basic salary up to £29k plus a full and comprehensive benefits package.
