Overview

Trainee CNC Operator - Basingstoke - Double day shift - Temp-perm - £30,200 per annum / £16 per hour

My client, a leading Engineering company based within Basingstoke is looking to recruit a Trainee CNC Miller Operator on a full-time basis. The role will be offered on a temp-perm basis over 3 months. This would be the perfect first step into CNC for candidates that have completed a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering or have some machine operating experience (not necessarily CNC) and looking for training / development.

Responsibilities
  • Operating 5 axis CNC Milling Machines using Fanuc controls
  • Quality checking of parts using manual tooling / CMM
  • Deburr components when required
Experience / Skills
  • Completion of BTEC level 3 engineering or some machining experience (CNC or similar)
  • Be familiar with engineers' drawings and able to interpret them
  • Familiar with manual measuring equipment
  • Have a good level of manual dexterity in order to deburr machined components with hand tools

Shift and salary

The role is working on a double day shift; 06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 - 22.00 Monday to Friday which will rotate on a weekly basis.

A salary of £31,200 / £16 per hour (including shift allowance) is on offer for the successful candidate with opportunity for salary progression with experience.
