Job description

Trainee CNC Machinist

Rate of pay: Dayshift & nightshift on offer - Days: £17 per hour - Nights: £21.45 per hour - Time & a half overtime

As a trainee CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing all training in fabrication tasks as assigned by the supervisor/charge hand accurately and efficiently.
  • Training in operating fabrication machinery, overhead cranes, and hand tools, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Through time you will be inspecting your own work to ensure it meets the company’s high-quality standards.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.

The ideal candidate:

  • Basic knowledge of CNC Machines OR experience working on a CNC machine would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Has an understanding of CNC machinery and operations.
  • Is reliable with the flexibility to work dayshift and nightshift.
  • Has basic programming experience.
