Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity, initially on a temporary basis, to join our Electrophysiology (EP) business, where we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

As a trainee Clinical Specialist / Associate Field Technical Engineer EP, you will undergo extensive training to provide expert support and guidance on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the clinical setting. The UK EP team has a strong track record for nurturing talented graduates into clinically-focused Field Technical Engineers, who ultimately provide exceptional in-procedure support to our customers within the assigned territory. We are now looking for an enthusiastic graduate from a relevant scientific discipline to join the team, based in the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing expert clinical consultation, teaching, and support on the use of all EP products and their appropriate application in the clinical setting.
  2. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies and technologies within the therapy area, including competitor devices, as well as understanding the dynamics of the healthcare market.
  3. Providing technical support to the EP salesforce.
  4. Conducting product presentations, responding to technical questions, supporting external events, etc.

What you'll need:

  1. A BSc in a science-related degree, e.g., Biomedical Sciences.
  2. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  3. A willingness to travel 75% of the time and ability to work autonomously.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Must hold a full valid UK driving license.
  6. Experience with medical devices similar to electrophysiology products is a plus but not required; full training will be provided.

We offer a fantastic range of benefits, including competitive salaries and bonus potential. This is a phenomenal opportunity to start your career in a global medical devices organization!
